On June 21 we celebrate the heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis.  There are a number of events and activities taking place in K'jipuktuk (Halifax).  The Mi'kmaw Native Friendship Centre is hosting Mawita'jik "Let Us Gather" on the North Common.  Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) is hosting Aboriginal Day LIve 2017 from eight cities across Canada.  For more information about Aboriginal Day, visit the Government of Canada website.
